Scope: AT60EDP at f/5;  Location: DAA Observatory, Shelter Valley, CA; Dates: 12, 22, 27, 28, 30, 31, July  2025  Camera: ASI2600MM (Astronomik type 2c  Ha, OIII and RGB filters)

Exposure: Exposure:  

Panel 1: Ha - 140 x 5 min (gain-160), OIII - 140 x 5 min (gain-160), RGB - 40 x 2 min (gain-101) each RGB exposures.

Panel 2: Ha - 139 x 5 min (gain-160), OIII - 139 x 5 min (gain-160), RGB - 40 x 2 min (gain-101) each RGB exposures.

Processing (Both panels): Data Collection -  N.I.N.A. Sequencer (as FITs).  Sub-frame calibration - Pixinsight (WBPP). Sub-frame  registration and integration (Average combine -  Linear clipping) - PixInsight (WBPP).   Noise reduction - NoiseXTerminator - PixInsight. Non-linear stretching, normalization and gradient removal - PixInsight. Photometric RGB calibration (SPCC) - PixInsight. Deconvolution of  Emission Line, and RGB combine - BlurXTerminator. Generation of starless nebulosity Emission line and combined RGB images for later processing - Star XTerminator.  Curves, Levels, RGB combine - PixInsight.  Emission Line starless  combine (HOO) - PixInsight.  Mosaic by Coordinates registration of each panel  (both RGB stars panels  and Emission Line starless panels - PixInsight. Merge of both registered panels (stars and starless panels ) - Affinity Photo. RGB stars Mosaic screened to Emission Line starless Mosaic - Affinity Photo.  Final finishing, crop, and resample  - Affinity Photo.   Annotation - PixInsight, Aladin (Simbad), and Affinity Photo. This image is an HOO starless composition - with RGB stars added. Mosaic Image processed at 8259x6484 resolution. Final Image size is approximately  6200x44783.

North is up in this image. The main object (outlined in the blue OIII emission shell) is the supernova remnant - SNR G065.3+05.7. The supernova event took place about 20,000 years ago (from our Earth's timeline). The shell distance is about  3,700 light years - the light took that long to first reach Earth. This  SNR was first identified in 1977 through optical observation - particularly OIII emission in  its "shell".  In 1979, radio frequency observations verified the characteristics of an SNR and established characteristics such as size, age, and distance.

Also in this field are other objects of note.  Sh2-91, Sh2 -94 and Sh2-96 are the brighter Ha regions  within or line-of-sight of the SNR. Dark nebulae are LDN 816, LDN 817, LDN 820, and LDN 821.

These objects and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image Horizontal Full FOV is approximately 5.68 degrees. Full size image scale is about 3.30 arcsec/pix.
