Image size is approximately 3200x2203. North is to the
Left in this image. This image shows
NGC 2336 - classed SAB(rs)bc and at a distance of about 102 million light years.
Along with NGC 2336 is a paired galaxy IC 467 - classed SAB(S)c? and at a
distance of about 104 million light years. This pair are separated by about 0.6
million light years (angular separation of about 20.3 arc minutes). The field
has multiple background galaxies that can be seen in the full size image. Some
have redshift estimated distances - PGC2781510 is 1,960 million light
years; PGC2782391 is 1,176 million light years. The furthest objects
visible in this image are the Quasars and their distances (by light
travel time) range from 3.419 to 10.56 billion years (Lookback). These objects,
information, background galaxies, and some of the brighter stars are identified in the
annotated
image. Horizontal FOV is approximately 38.4 arc minutes. Full size
image scale is approximately 0.72 arcsec/pix. Image Center approximately - Equatorial 2000: RA: 7h 29m 9s Dec: +80°04'04"
