NGC 1582 in Perseus

Scope: Megrez II  f/4.3; Location: Del Mar, CA;  22 February, 2006; Camera: Artemis285

Exposure: 10 x 60 sec Luminance exposure (bin 1x1)with Baader IR/UV Block Filter; 10 x 30 sec RGB (bin 2x2)

Processing: Images were captured Artemis Capture (as FITs). Aligned/stacked in Registax 3 and saved as FITS. Luminance and Color channels were scaled and rough color balanced in Astroart. Central Gradient removal was performed in Astroart. Channels were co-registered in Astroart. The 60 sec exposures were used as the main luminance channel with level adjustments and curves to bring out dim stars. Final LRGB combine was done in Photoshop.  Luminance Layering (LLRGB) was used  to bring out star colors. Color balancing and final touches were done in Photoshop. . Final Image size is approximately 1392x1040

This image was guided; North is up. NGC 1582 is an open cluster in the constellation of Perseus.   Horizontal FOV is 90'

Image Center is approximately - Equatorial 2000: RA: 04h 31m 47s Dec: +43°46'30"
