CLICK ON IMAGE FOR FULL SIZE VIEW (2800 x 2100) Scope: Explore Scientific "Levy" Mak-Newt at f/4.8, Location: Laguna Mountains, CA 25 June 2011, Camera: ST8300M Exposure: 8 x 8 minutes H-Alpha (1x1 bin), 12 X 5 minutes IR/UV Block filter (1 x 1 bin), 8 x 4 minutes RGB Exposures (2x2) Processing: Images were captured with CCDSoft. Aligned/stacked and dark subtracted and flat fielded in Astroart ; Sigma Combine method was used for stacking subs. All channels were scaled and rough color balanced in Astroart. Channels were co-registered in Astroart. The 8 minute 1x1 bin H-Alpha exposures and 5 minute 1x1 Luminance exposures were combined for the main luminance construction. Level adjustments and curves were used to bring out object features. LRGB combine was done in Photoshop. A light background noise reduction was applied in PixInsight LE (SGBNR). Selective sharpening was performed. Final touches and color balance in Photoshop. Final Image size is approximately 2800 x 2100. All exposures in this image were guided; North is to the Left in this image. The two reddish , blue tinged orbs on the left are IC 1274 and IC1275 - from left to right. The small bluish object in the right central part of the image is NGC6559. Finally, the larger object with the squiggly dust lane in it in IC4685. This image replaces an earlier image that can be seen in the Archives here. The Horizontal FOV is 80'. Image center is located approximately - Equatorial 2000: RA: 18h 09m 39s Dec: -23°55'36"
