Scope: FSQ-106N at f/5;  Location: DAA Observatory, Shelter Valley, CA; Dates: 8 and 9 January, 12 February, 2024;  Camera: ASI2600MM (Astronomik type 2c  Ha and LRGB filters)

Exposure: Exposure:  Lum - 96 x 3 min (gain-101 1x1), Ha - 98 x 3.5 min (gain-180 1x1), RGB - 36 x 2 min (gain-101 1x1) each RGB exposures.

Processing: Data Collection -  N.I.N.A. Sequencer (as FITs).  Sub-frame calibration - Pixinsight (WBPP). Sub-frame  registration and integration (Average combine -  Linear clipping) - PixInsight (WBPP).  2x Drizzle of Lum and stacks - PixInsight (WBPP).  Noise reduction - NoiseXTerminator - PixInsight. Non-linear stretching, normalization and gradient removal - PixInsight. Photometric RGB calibration (SPCC) - PixInsight. Deconvolution of Lum, Ha, and RGB combine - BlurXTerminator. Generation of starless nebulosity Lum and RGB images for later processing - Star XTerminator.  Curves, Levels, RGB combine - PixInsight.  Lum starless and Ha starless  combine - PixInsight.  LRGB stars screened to starless Lum + Ha - Pixinsight.  Final finishing, crop, and resample  - Affinity Photo.   Annotation - PixInsight, Aladin (Simbad), and Affinity Photo. This image is an  LRGB / Ha starless composition - with RGB stars added.  Image processed at 12496x8352 resolution. Final Image size is approximately  6009x4026.

North is down in this image.  The small reflection nebula Cederblad 51 is center in this image and surrounded by ionized hydrogen emission. The interstellar matter nebula Cederblad 47 is below and left of Ced 51 and is illuminated by the bright star HD35956.  The bright red and dominant structure is general Ha emission; it is a small portion of the much larger LBN 865 and the larger yet Sh2-264 (6.5 degrees). These large structures extend well beyond this image field. The broader Barnard 30 dark nebula is seen in the lower left of this image and also extends well beyond this image field.

There are numerous dark nebulae in this image from the  LDN  catalog (LDN 1580, 1581, 1582, 1582B, 1583, and 1584). Also, dark nebulae Barnard 31, 32, and 225) are toward the lower/center in this image. All these dark nebulae run diagonally from upper left to lower center.  Surprisingly, with all the gas, dust, interstellar matter in this region, a number of background galaxies manage to shine through this material and are seen in this image.

These objects and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image Vertical FOV is approximately 2.53 degrees. Full size image scale is about 1.51 arcsec/pix.

Image center is approximately - Equatorial 2000: RA: 05h 31m 28s Dec: +12°09'30"
