Scope: C8 at f/6 Location: Del Mar. CA 8/26/2003 Camera: ToUcam SC3
Exposure: 10 x 25 sec luminance exposures with IR and Skyglo filters and 16 x 9 sec exposures with IR filter. 24 x 2/2/5 sec each RGB exposures.
Processing: Captured aligned and stacked in K3CCDTools with L,R,G,B saved as FITs. LRGB masters were registered in Astroart. Some Lowpass filtering was applied followed by un-sharp mask on the Luminance frame. LRGB combine was done in Photoshop. The two IR exposures were combined to reduce bloating of the brighter stars. The result had minor touch up in Photoshop.
This image was taken with the new C8 scope on the AS mount. I am using this image to replace an earlier image produced with the Starmax 127. These images were manually guided.. Horizontal FOV is 23'
