Scope: Explore Scientific MN152 Maksutov Newtonian at f/4.8, Location:  Blair Valley, Anza Borrego Desert CA   1 April, 2016  Camera: Atik 383 (Astronomik Gen II  LRGB filters)

Exposure: Exposure: 16 x 9 min, (1x1 bin) exposure with UV/IR block,  8 x 4.5 min (2x2 bin) RGB exposures.

Processing: Data Collection -  Sequence Generator Pro (as FITs).  Calibrated, stacked (Kappa Sigma Combine) Deep Sky Stacker, LRGB channel registration and equalization - Astroart.  Curves, Levels, RGB combine Images Plus. Luminance layering and finishing  - Photoshop. This image is an LRGB combine with Luminance layering. Color calibration - eXcalibrator. The Luminance construction was the Luminance exposures. Color saturation in LAB color.    Native image size - 3354x2529.  Final Image size is approximately 2800x2100.

North is up in this image. This field lies within the constellation of Coma Berenices. M88 is the largest galaxy visually in this field. There are numerous other galaxies in this field - most are members of the Virgo Super Cluster of galaxies. There are roughly 63 galaxies that are in the VCC (Virgo Cluster Catalog) in or around this field. Cluster member that are also in well known other catalogs are NGC 4501 (M88), 4516 , 4446, 4447,  4459, 4468, 4474 from the NGC catalog; IC 3409, 3432, 3442, 3476, 3478 from the IC catalog. These objects and some of the bright stars are identified in the annotated image.  This ismage replaces an earlier image that can be seen in the archives here.  Horizontal FOV is 85'

Image center is approximately - Equatorial 2000: RA: 12h 30m 37s Dec: +14°20'00"
